Deleting your account
Last updated 4 August 2026. How to delete your Idle Echoes account, and what happens to your data when you do.
The short version
- In the game: open Settings, then Danger zone, and confirm.
- Your account stops working immediately and is deleted for good 30 days later.
- Signing in during those 30 days cancels it and gives you your character back.
- Locked out, or the game uninstalled? Email hello@idle-echoes.com from your account's address and we will do it for you.
Written to be readable, so it leaves things out. The numbered sections below are the ones that count.
01Delete it yourself, in the game
This is the fastest route, and it needs nothing from us:
Your account stops working the moment you confirm. It is deleted for good 30 days later, and signing in during those 30 days cancels the deletion and restores your character, so a mis-tap or a stolen account is never final.
- Sign in at play.idle-echoes.com, or in the iOS or Android app.
- Open Settings.
- Open Danger zone at the bottom, and confirm the deletion.
02If you cannot sign in
Email hello@idle-echoes.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will not delete an account on the word of anyone who cannot show they own it, because that would make deletion a way to grief other players.
03What is deleted
Everything the account is made of:
- Your login and your email address.
- Your character and all of its game data.
- Chat messages you sent, and the names you used.
- Reports you filed, and reports filed about you.
- Who you had blocked.
- Any device notification tokens.
04What is kept
Records of what happened in the game are kept with any link to you removed, so they no longer identify you but still let us balance the game.
Backups roll off on their own schedule, so a deleted account can persist in a backup briefly before being overwritten.
